Job Summary/Purpose: Manage, organize, and prioritize the various activities related to Government Relations Commercials Section ensuring the fulfillment of the company’s interest and objectives. Responsibilities: Strategic: 1. Prepare annual Government Relations Commercial plans and budgets to meet the BU/Dept strategic objectives. 2. Monitor implementation of the annual plans and measure achievements of results against budgets and objectives and take corrective measures as appropriate. 3. Recommend annual strategy in area of Government Relations Commercial. Operational: 1. Assess and develop service levels agreement (SLA) to maintain the optimal standards. 2. Negotiate, evaluate, and execute service contract: long term contracts & short-term contracts to get the optimal terms which ensure best quality in services. Closely and regularly monitor the implementation of contract items and setup procedures and protocols to deal with violations and inefficiencies if found. 3. Lead and direct the government relationships of the Administration Department with ministries and public authorities. 4. Monitor, guide and manage financial payment dues to ministries and public authorities in coordination with concerned departments. 5. Manage the implementation of the company’s strategy consistently, taking into consideration the demands and requirements of the governmental circles, the laws acknowledge in the state of Kuwait and the stated procedures in ministries and public authorities. 6. Review the issuing and renewal of commercial licenses, commercial agencies, and commercial trademarks. 7. Define, resolve critical situations, and foresee problems, which delay and obstruct the fulfilment of governmental transactions on time. 8. Obtain approvals from associated key ministries, authorities and departments, ie:, (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Defense, Interior Ministry, Ministry of Transportation, Public Authority for applied Education and Training, Traffic Department) to issue and renew the commercial licenses and agencies agreements certificates. Manage group companies’ registration as certified suppliers at all government and non-government authorities. People Management: 1. Identify set and agree on KPIs and objectives. 2. Prepare performance planning (PP), conduct performance appraisal (PA) and PP/PA interviews including employee development plans and counsel employees on career progression opportunities and approve training requests. 3. Recommend employee promotions, salary adjustments, disciplinary actions and approve vacation and overtime. 4. Identify staffing needs, participate in interviewing panels, and take hiring decisions. 5. Maintain and promote staff motivation by addressing employee grievances promptly and escalating when necessary and enforcing fair and equitable compliance with Group policies and procedures. المهارات Educational Qualifications and Experience: Primary: Bachelor’s degree Legal (12th Standard + 3 years or 4 years degree) or equivalent with 10 years of experience. Alternate: Diploma in Paralegal (12th Standard + 2 or 3 years Diploma) or equivalent and 2 years of additional managerial experience. Linguistic Abilities: Arabic and English are a must.
